Ornamental Features
The Oakleaf Hydrangea has many cultivars and sizes, ranging from small to large and is under-utilized in the North American landscaping. It is one of the most beautiful plants, with many benefits. The showy, white, cone-shaped flowers bloom throughout the summer and dazzle its surroundings with fall colors of rich burgundy in the fall. As this shrub loses its leaves in the colder months, the exposed woody stems displays exfoliating cinnamon color branches, giving it a good late fall and early winter interest.
