Toad Lily is an undervalued perennial for the shade or woodland garden. It is a beautiful selection with its combined attributes of a late bloom time (August to September) and unique orchid-like blooms coming in varying shades. A native to Asia, Toad Lily attracts Hummingbirds and the curious visitor alike and is best placed near a border edge where its delicate blooms can be appreciated. We love adding splashes of this perennial to many of our shady garden projects. Just be sure the site has adequate moisture!
Mass plantings or groupings amongst other woodland and shade plants. Best used close to the border of a garden.
