Pesticide Applicator

LawnCare by Walter is seeking a licensed pesticide applicator to join our team. LCbW offers on-the-job training for the right candidate and growth opportunities in a supportive, family-owned work environment. Plus, the opportunity to work outdoors every day!

Be part of a team that takes pride in delivering quality service to our customers every day. Our technicians work outdoors providing quality services to residential and commercial customers throughout Northern Illinois.

Responsibilities include:

• Apply fertilizer, weed control, mosquito, and vegetation management treatments in accordance with company and safety standards.
• Safely and efficiently operate and maintain commercial lawn equipment, backpack sprayers, hand tools, power equipment, and other machinery.
• Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining a professional appearance and positive attitude.
• Work efficiently both independently and as part of a team to complete daily routes and projects.

What We're Looking For:

• Valid driver's license required
• Comfortable working outdoors in heat and changing weather conditions
• Dependable and self-motivated
• Able to lift 50+ pounds
• Experience in lawn care, landscaping, construction, or outdoor labor is preferred

Huge Plus If You Have

• Illinois Pesticide License
• Passed the Illinois General Standards Exam (or willing to test)
• Experience with backpack sprayers or commercial mowing equipment
• Experience installing bollards, posts, or performing concrete work
